I’ve known Vivian for 20 years she was a amazing women of faith. I send my condolences to her family. She helped me many times in my walk with Jesus Christ. Even when her health wavered she praised God and His goodness to her. I will forever keep her in my heart as a dear friend.

Dear Hurley /Kehne Families, I am so very sorry to see the passing of your dear Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend Vivian. I was a close school friend of Vivian's from West Frederick Jr. High and we graduated together from FHS Class 66. I also worked at Potomac Edison with your Dad, Alvin. You had great parents, Gertrude, I only knew you as Pete, but guess you have out grown that name. I listed my maiden name for you. Not sure if you even remembered me. May God surround you all with His Peace and Comfort. Keeping you in my prayers. Sincerely, Donna Jean Brandenburg

I was privileged to know Vivian for two years here at Meritus. My office is right down the hall, and this lovely lady radiated peace and joy even when she didn’t feel well. Even when coming in was a major effort, she wanted to be here and make a difference for her patients and friends. When life became difficult at the end, she talked to her Lord and Savior every day and gained sustenance from her abundant faith. She was so ready to go be with Jesus, and I know that she is blissfully happy now. Even so, for her friends and family, the void she leaves is immense. No one was like Vivian—a truly special woman who strove to win others for Christ and coach and comfort the lonely, forsaken, and forgotten. I can still hear her singing How Great Thou Art with my friend Trish and I—such a wonderful memory I will always treasure. Awww … Vivian … we miss you so!

Vivian was a special co-worker, here at BHS. My office is next to hers. I know how much her clients loved her and will miss her dearly, as will I. She was such a light to them and to all of us here. I will always remember her beautiful laugh, I could hear through the wall occasionally and it was contagious! I was able to visit with her a couple times during her final weeks here on earth. She loved music, singing hymns and praising God, knowing she would soon meet Jesus in Person. She was ready and glowed with peace. What an inspiration!

Not sure how to put into words what perseverance and dedication Miss Vivian put into her work, family, and most importantly her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a modern day Job until her last breath. She was always singing the praises of God and when asked how she felt on a particular day she would be honest but always end with but God is good and He is faithful. It was a pleasure to serve with her on the board as she was a model of grace in all circumstances and had such discernment into matters concerning the church. She not only taught my daughter and many other young woman how to live a life as a woman of Faith during those precocious high school years but Vivian also modeled it everyday if her life. She leaves behind a legacy of what it means to live a spirit filled life. Rest In Peace Miss Vivian. As you rejoice in the almighty arms of Christ, know you will be missed dearly here on the earth.
