Obituary

Vance Anthony Trotman II, known to many as “Dink” passed away suddenly in West Virginia on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 26. Dink was born to Mr. Vance Anthony Trotman and Mrs. Fenicia Kimberly Bell-Foye on February 15, 1994 in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Vance lived most of his life in Hagerstown, Maryland where he maintained many valuable friendships throughout his lifetime. Growing up in Hagerstown, Vance always had a passion for bikes. He started out riding and fixing up BMX bikes in his youth, then later developed a passion for motocross bikes and street bikes. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends and family members throughout town or up and down “the Dual” Highway.
Vance also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He liked nighttime fishing at the Conococheague Creek by Kemps Mill and the Potomac River near R. Paul Smith Power Station in Williamsport, Maryland.
In his youth Vance played in the Washington County Junior Football League (WCJFL) for the Giants with his brother and several friends from the neighborhood.
Vance enjoyed watching the Discovery channel, History channel, and Animal Planet, which contributed to his interest in animals. Vance kept two freshwater fish tanks and was an active Bully Pit breeder.
Although Vance was quick-witted, he always could be found laughing and joking with friends while playing video games, talking about cars, shooting pool at Benny’s or enjoying Long Island iced tea at local establishments.
Vance loved his two beautiful children. He welcomed his daughter, Ms. Brielle R. Trotman with and Raven C. Tucker and later welcomed his son, Mr. Vance Anthony Trotman III with his girlfriend Jayda Harmonson.
Vance was the youngest son of his six siblings and is survived by his brother, Raymond G. Campbell III, his sister, Reashawnda L. Campbell, his brother, Dionnday M. Anderson, his sister, Dominique C. Anderson, his sister, Venicia A. Erickson, his sister Alexa Trotman, his brother Cahren Trotman, and his brother Nicolas Trotman. Vance was an uncle to 3 niece and 7 nephews.
“Dink” a beloved son and grandson is survived by his parents; his “Mammaw,” Mrs. Linda Marie Hornbarger, his “Pap,” Mr. Douglas Carlyle Hornbarger. His Co-Mother Dawn M. Keyes. His stepfather Jermaine C. Foye. His paternal grandmother Constance V. Trotman and his step-grandfather William Thomas. His maternal grandfather, Charles S. Bell, III and maternal grandmother, Gwendolyn L. Henzsley.
Vance will be forever be cherished by his Aunt, Bernadette R, Thomas, his Aunt Bobbi Jo Losch, his Uncle Charles D. Bell IV, his Aunt Coffi B. Corbin, his Aunt Sunseeahray M. Fulton, his Aunt Jennifer M. Fraley, his Uncle Jason D. Hornbarger, his Uncle Brandon J. Hornbarger, his Aunt Angela Grimes, and his Aunt Charlesa Bell Tasker.
Dink had a beautiful bright smile that was special to his family and friends. His smile will be forever engraved in our hearts. So, in the words of Vance Anthony Trotman II, “This is what we're not gon’ do” is let sorrow hide our loving memories of his light on our lives.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 1:30 pm from the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD with the Rev. Wayne D. Sloan officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD
