Steven Sloan Hott, 68, of  Clear Spring, MD, passed away, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Holy Cross Hospital.

Born Thursday, July 3, 1952 in Sharpsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Riley Hott Sr. and the late Violet Hott.

Steve graduated from Williamsport High School in 1970. He was employed with Hoffman's Meat for 48 years. Steve was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God, where he served as Sunday School superintendent  and the Royal Rangers. He also volunteered at Outdoor Camp for FCA. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially loved going to his grandkids sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of  48 years Janet Ruth (Mumma) Hott; daughter, Stacy Myers and husband Scott of Clear Spring, MD; four grandchildren, Dalton Myers, Dallis Myers, Javan Myers and Blace Myers; seven brothers, Riley Hott, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV, Ronnie Hott of Sharpsburg, MD, Marvin Hott of Marlowe, WV, Phillip Hott of Greencastle, PA, Daniel Hott of Berkley Springs, WV, Benjamin  Hott of Williamsport, MD and Jeffrey Hott of Sharpsburg, MD; three sisters, Janet Weidner, Pamela Decker both of Hagerstown, MD and Vickie Busick of Zullinger, PA.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Hott, Sr. and Richard Hott.

Services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 10:00 am, at the Virginia Avenue Church of God, 17306 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. A. Paul Harne and  Rev. Shawn Bushman officiating.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Private interment will be at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Virginia Avenue Church of God 17306 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, 21740.
