Dear Edith, I was sad to hear about Steve. When he read about my cancer last year, he called to wish me well. It was so unexpected and thoughtful, a little sunshine during my gloomy day. He was a good man and I know that you will miss him so. He is in heaven now watching over you. May God bless you in this time of sorrow and soothe your grieving heart. With love, Jackie

Edith, our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We have fond memories of Steve. You & Steve were two of the first people we meet when we moved to Hagerstown years ago. You both made our young family feel loved & welcomed. Enjoyed our time as neighbors on Trotter and all the good conversations. Peace be with you, Brian & Brenda Emigh

John (Raymond) and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you, Edith, and the rest of your family on the loss of your beloved Steve. I know he will be deeply missed. Although he didn't get to talk with Steve often, John really enjoyed their phone conversations, especially recounting what they did together as kids. We will cherish Steve and their special times together. We pray that you will find comfort in the joys you shared together and in knowing he is at peace.

Skip’s cheerful optimism lifted my spirits whenever we were together and when he called. Notwithstanding multiple health challenges, he was always encouraging and looking forward as a man of faith. I’ll miss.him.

Dear Edith, I am sending you all my love and sympathy. Steve and you have made am amazing team all the 58 years of your marriage. You have always placed Christ at the center of your marriage and His love has been visible to all who know you two. Shirley and I will miss Steve's regular phone calls when we would catch each other up on family news. His death will leave a big empty space in our family circle but I know he is celebrating with Christ and looking forward to a reunion with us in heaven.
