Roland Leo Hartle, 65, of State Line Area, entered eternal rest, Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Meritus Medical Center.
Born Friday, February 22, 1957 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Richard Hartle and the late Myrtle (Leckron) Hartle.
Roland was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
He is survived by brother, Barry and wife Kathy, Dan and Alex; nephew Jeff; niece Tracy; close friends, Joe Cool and Stephen Cool; and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
Roland was employed at local trucking services, Ryder/Pie Nationwide, Roadway Express and was a Teamsters Union Stewart of the local 992.
He was a British sports car and avid motorcycle enthusiast. He had a big heart and loved talking to everyone.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd North Hagerstown, MD, on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will he held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Beautiful View Cemetery, off of Route 11 just before the Airport Business Park, before the Pennsylvania State Line, with Pastor David Rawley officiating.
My family and I would like to give you our heartfelt condolences of the passing of Roland. He was very much a part of our family with Terry Sr. and Randy Cool. May you find peace knowing he was a very loving and caring man.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Roland. He was always a loyal member of the Historical Society and a wonderful contributor to all of the events. So sorry to hear about Roland. He was my brother, Randy’s best friend. He was a joy to be around. I’m glad Randy had him in his life, especially when he was away at school.

I grew up with Roland and he was one of my lifelong friends. He was a kind and gentle soul. He will definitely be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.
We are so sad to hear of Roland's passing. He was a very special man who would do anything for you. He was always willing to lend a hand at our house with stacking wood or anything we might need.
