My wife and I have known Rick for 15 years as we live up the street from him. He helped us a lot over the years with things at our home like building our entire back porch And being the brains behind our patio building. I would go down occasionally and hang out with him and we just talk About whatever was going on. I will really miss him. He was such a genuine man. I think anyone who knows him with the other same way. He will be greatly missed

Dear Binford Family, Very sorry to hear about Rick passing. I haven't seen him in over 20 years ~ but he agreed to do a few woodworking projects for me. One was turning my dad's childhood maple wood bed (dad was born in 1929 and is resting in peace with mom) into a coffee table with shelf. Now a family heirloom. Rick was soft spoken, talented, had a great sense of humor ~ but especially - KIND; and I remember him enjoying spending time and caring for his parents. His beautiful dark brown eyes will be missed by many. With sincere condolences.

I was so saddened by hearing the news of Rick's passing. He had been my friend for over 50 years. When he moved back to Hagerstown, and into my neighborhood, I enjoyed sharing long conversations with my old friend before I moved to Florida. Rick was a good man, easy going and a good friend. RIP until we meet again. --Dee

It's hard to think of Rick without smiling! From when we were all kids growing up together in the neighborhood, to when I would bump into him at the store, he always had a smile and a story! Remember when he took those old large wooden cable spools and turned them into outdoor tables? I just sold the one he did for my folks when I cleaned out their house- it was still in perfect condition! He will be missed. I pray that as you all go through this journey together, you will be able to share all the good memories of growing up on Oak Hill, and will find comfort in each other. God speed, Rick! Til we meet again!
