Obituary

 Paul Frank Smigelski, 69, of Williamsport, MD, passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born Thursday, February 8, 1951 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Frank G. Smigelski and the late Lucia V. (Migliori) Smigelski. Upon the death of Lucia, Frank remarried and Paul was raised by Nancy H. Miller.

He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1969 and graduated with an Associates degree from Hagerstown Junior College in 1971. Paul retired from Square D Company after 20 years as a residential sales engineer. He was the secretary and resident head chef of the Hidden Valley Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and an aspiring guitarist. His greatest joy was being Poppy to Olivia, Lucy, Sloane and Silas.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christine Y. Smigelski; daughter, Elizabeth G. Smigelski (Michael Burns); son, Anthony R. Smigelski (Katie); four brothers, Mark E. Smigelski, Robert J. Smigelski, Raymond A. Smigelski, Daniel W. Smigelski; sister, Sharon R. Cox; three granddaughters, Olivia G. Burns, Lucy J. Burns and Sloane M. Smigelski; grandson, Silas R. Smigelski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 10:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

It was so sad to hear of Paul's passing and we extend our condolences to you Chris and the entire family. We of course mostly remember Paul from all the occasions at your sister's house on Rainbow Avenue. Paul was a real stand up guy with a big smile and big heart.
