Larry V. Rogers, 70, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Carol on Wednesday, November 6th.
Born Saturday, July 23, 1949 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late George Rogers and the late Nora Camp.
Larry spent his childhood in Winchester, VA. After attending Shepherd University, he began a successful career in the mortgage industry where he managed teams nationwide. He took tremendous pride in his work and was the consummate professional. He worked for multiple organizations including First Nationwide Mortgage where he met the love of his life, Carol. Larry loved traveling, fishing, golf and Tommy Bahama.
Larry and Carol were blessed with the love and support of family and friends and will always cherish those relationships.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Larry is also survived by his sister, Sharon Sherman of Virginia and nephews, Erik and Kevan.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Pastor Mark Summer officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Greenhill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014 or American Institute for Cancer Research, 1560 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22209.

Carol, I just heard the very sad news. Larry and I went to high school together and I just loved him. He was so nice and friendly. After James Wood, we both went to Shepherd. We only saw each other at reunions after school, but I still considered him a friend. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Carol I’m so sorry and still in shock !! He was my favorite dental patient and he always made me smile !! I’ll miss his infectious smile and joking !! Heaven gained an amazing angel .
