Obituary

Judith Ann "Dee" McGinley, 71, of Falling Waters, WV, went home to be with Jesus in Heaven on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was surrounded and comforted by her children and her grandson as she departed from this life. She passed away at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born Friday, January 13, 1950 in Webster Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hanson Lynch and wife Betty (Hamrick) and Rosa Lee (Cogar) Paugh and husband William Paugh.

Before retiring, Dee worked as a correctional officer for Frederick County Maryland Detention Center. She also previously worked as a surgical tech and in labor and delivery.

Dee was strong in her Christian faith and devout in her prayers. She attended CenterPoint Bible Church in Spring Mills, WV. She had a very special place in her heart for her family, friends, and church family.

Dee loved dogs, particularly her Boston Terriers, who were like her children. She also loved birds, especially Cardinals, and liked to collect bird houses.

Dee was a lover of music and was an avid concert goer. She also loved watching her western shows and movies. She enjoyed traveling and loved to go on cruises.

She is survived by her husband William "Bill"  McGinley, Jr.; two sons, Matthew M. McCourt and wife Heidi S. McCourt of Hagerstown, MD and Kenneth W. Mussehl of Hagerstown, MD; two grandsons, Colin M. McCourt and Dylan Custer of Clear Spring, MD; granddaughter Christina Cochran and husband Brett Cochran of Webster Springs, WV; and step daughter Tammy Sue Aleshire of Clearspring, MD.

In addition to her parents and stepparents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacia Lynn Mussehl.

A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, January 22, 2022 at 11am at the CenterPoint Bible Church, 728 T J Jackson Dr., Falling Waters, WV 25419 with Senior Pastor Lowell McDonald officiating. A luncheon will be provided by the church following the service. Dee’s wishes were that any flowers sent to the church for her memorial, would then be donated to local nursing homes.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home.

I so very much enjoyed our Thursday night Bible studies at your beautiful home. I loved your sense of humor and genuine hospitality. I appreciated your love for animals and I was always happy when one of your doggies paid me attention. I grew a lot in my faith during those years we shared in our group and with each other. You were a gift for so many, human and animal alike. I will see you again some day. God bless your Bill, your children, family and friends. May He be with all of you and comfort you. Hugs and Love to you.
