Jennifer "Ginger" Elaine Toms Beattie, 71, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Doey's House, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Tuesday, August 17, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Marvin Toms of Hagerstown, MD and the late Wanda (Basore) Toms.

She graduated from St. Maria Goretti in 1966 and Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. Ginger worked at the Washington County Hospital as an RN on the pediatric floor for over 40 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Rosary Makers and Catholic Daughters. Ginger also enjoyed cruises and spending time with grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike Beattie; brother, Greg Toms (Darlene); brother-in-laws, Roy Lescalleet and Glenn Wilt; daughter, Kim Weaver (Brad); two sons, Jeff Beattie (Laurie) and Bill Beattie (Brenda); grandchildren, Ashley Sizemore (Bryan), Alyssa Bradley (Larry), Caitlin Beattie, Maleigha Beattie, Bralyn Beattie, Brendan Beattie, McKenna Weaver, and Payton Weaver; great-grandchildren, Hudson Spoonire, Oliver Bradley, Carra Sizemore; step grandchildren, Riley and Brody Crone; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends, especially, Eileen Andrews.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her infant grandson, Nathaniel Weaver; mother-in-law, Doris Lescalleet and sister-in-laws, Dottie Wilt and Kristi Lescalleet.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 19, 2020, at 11:00 am, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Avenue Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. John J. Jicha as celebrant.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, Thursday, June 18, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doey's House, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
