James Bernard Minnich, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Monday, November 8, 2021, at his home. 

Born Tuesday, October 13, 1931 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Claude G. Minnich and the late Alice E. (Fahrney) Minnich. He was preceded in death also by his wife Ann Virginia (Emerson) Minnich. 

Jim was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He served in the Air Force before entering the workforce. He was employed by Fairchild Industries as an industrial photographer for 38 years. He was a long-time dealer of postcards and other collectibles at Beaver Creek Antique Market, Hagerstown, MD. Jim was also a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 and Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, both in Hagerstown, MD. He enjoyed traveling, especially to state and national parks; fishing; watching baseball and football games on television; and spending time with family and friends. 

He is survived by two daughters, Cindy M. Lapham and husband Rick of Middletown, MD, Linda C. Weisler and husband Emero of Hernando, FL; son, Steve B. Minnich and wife Kim of Drayden, MD; four grandchildren, Amanda N. Lapham of Charlottesville, VA, Brianna N. Minnich of Riverview, FL, Shannon R. Minnich of Drayden, MD, and Kari F. Minnich of Drayden, MD. 

Services will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Katie Penick officiating. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. 

Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD, 21784.
