 Emer June (Grumbine) McNamee, 92, Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Doey's House.

Born Friday, August 2, 1929 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Seymour Grumbine and Carrie Atabelle (Morris) Grumbine.

Emer was a graduate from Hagerstown High School. She later became a homemaker where she babysat for several children in the community.

She adored babysitting, going on walks, shopping, getting her hair done, anything that involved socializing with the community, and of course, her canine companion Tofi.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Keller and husband Steve of Hagerstown, MD; son, Rodney McNamee and wife Diane of Hagerstown, MD; three grandsons, Troy Keller and wife Jenel, Todd Keller and wife Jennifer, Brock McNamee; two granddaughters, Carrie Wagerman and husband Rodney, Ashley McNamee; great grandchildren, Marcus, Camryn, Lakin, Calli and Mya Keller, and Maddy Wagerman; and a special niece, Gail Ann Cooper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Luther McNamee; brothers, Franklin, Theodore, Aubrey, and Charles; and sisters, Fedora, Genevieve, Lois and Wilda.

Services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doey's House 11370 Caring Pathway Lane Hagerstown, MD 21742.

My prayers go out to all the family. Emer June always had a smile on her face and sweet disposition. She sure was one of a kind. Take comfort in the reunion of her with all the family that went before her. Thinking of all of you in these times of sorrow.

My sincere sympathy goes to the family of Emer. I had the great pleasure of knowing this beautiful human being. Always full of life . It was hard for Emer when her beloved husband passed. Now the are rejoined.

To the family, Emer was a friend of my aunt, Karen Angle and they were friends for many years. I visited her as a young girl with my aunt. Emer always had a special laugh that I will already remember. My condolences and prayers for comfort to all the family.
