Obituary

Dorothy Mae Womack, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at the Meritus Medical Center.

Born Thursday, June 6, 1929 in Sandy Spring (Olney), MD, she was the daughter of the late William Stacy Belt and the late Lucy May (Heim) Belt.

Dorothy received her Associates degree in arts from Marshall College in Huntington, WV. She was a member of Hagerstown First Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold "Joe" Womack; daughter, Diane Elaine Blackstock and husband Donald; son, Stephen Douglas Womack and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Michael Womack, John Womack and wife Michelle, Alicia Womack, Adam Blackstock and Daniel Blackstock; six great-grandchildren, Spencer Lunsford, Dylan Womack, Gavin Womack, Dylan Upton, Adrianna Upton and Chase Womack.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 11:30 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Dr. William Miller officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 10:30 am - 11:30 am.

Interment will be private at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hagerstown First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
