Meg, I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers of comfort and support are being sent to you. I am thinking of you and sending my deepest condolences.

Meg, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I wasn't aware of the services and am sorry for missing yesterday's service, I have heard that it was a fitting celebration of Boomer's life. I will always remember our banter back and forth and trips that we took together, as well as the Member-Guest weekend that we spent together at Fountainhead. Don was a professional in his trade and knew how to relax and have a good time outside of the office as well. To say it was a shock to hear of his passing is a gross understatement. He and I had some good conversations over the years about family, business, and faith. I trust that he is resting in peace and that you will be reunited again one day. Please let me know if me and Susanna can do anything for you. Sincerely, Josh and Susanna Barnhart

Meg, What a beautiful tribute today was to Boomer. You did such an amazing job! It was clear how many lives Boomer touched in his short 52 years. It was always apparent to me over the years how very much Boomer loved you and your fur babies. I pray you will find comfort in the days and weeks ahead in all your wonderful memories. I know I will miss working with him at Blue Ridge and will miss his quick wit and infectious smile. I will continue to keep you and your families in my thoughts and prayers. May you continue to feel Gods love and may it bring you peace and comfort. Hugs! Paula Rhoderick

I had the pleasure to work with Don over the past year during my time with CNA -- Don was my go to marketing contact and was always so positive and full of energy. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great guy and spoke fondly of his wife and their travels the few times we went out for lunch and chatted over the phone. I will certainly miss working with him and send my condolences to his wife and family during this difficult time.

Meg - I had the privilege of working with Boomer for the past six years at Keller / Blue Ridge. He was always so helpful. Always made a joke when it was time to lighten the mood. Was always kind, professional and respectful. I just spoke with him in May and cannot wrap my head around the fact that he's gone. He never once let on how sick he was and I was, truly, shocked to hear of his passing. May your many wonderful memories carry you forward. You're in my thoughts and prayers. He and I had a running joke - whoever left work first, walked past the other one's desk and said, "go home!" He will be missed and he touched so many lives - he will not be forgotten.

Don and Alva, I am sorry that I never actually met Boomer. I am sure he was a carbon copy of Don. I am surprised that he didn't go to the Hop and earn a sterling GPA like Don and me :) To lose a child is truly a tragic occurrence. However, with so many Harsh's in your neighborhood, you will have plenty of support during the weeks and months ahead. Again, please accept our deepest sympathy and hope we can get together in the near future. Sincerely, Bob and Jackie

Dear Don, Alva and Meg, As I opened the newspaper just a few minutes ago, Roger and I were in shock to read of Boomer’s passing. Our hearts are sadden for your family. Don and Alva, I remember how proud you were of Boomer. Don would tell us at the bank about his accomplishments and when his illness resulted in a heart condition, how worried you both were. Boomer shared love for “Golden Retrievers” as we do. We are sure they brought him much joy. We will be praying for God’s amazing grace during the days ahead for your family. Our thoughts are with you. Roger and Laura Hott. Psalms 73:26

If I had to write a letter to you, here's what I'd say: "Boomer, you were such an amazing talent on the tennis court as a kid and all the parents would tell me that you were the next big thing and that I should watch out. You had such passion for the sport like me and I totally admired that spirit. Then, you were diagnosed with a heart condition at such a young age and you fought it bravely. I don't think I could have handle that situation as well. It meant taking it easier with tennis and I can't imagine what that did to you but you kept weathering the storm so bravely. It was then I even admired you more! And as fast as it came, it was all behind you and you were off to the races as a young man doing your best for your fellow human. Your heart was huge in its charity toward others and you became a truly magnanimous individual, professional and parent, well accomplished and happy in life. What more is there! So, again, I am humbled by your presence in this world. You will be greatly missed!!" With that, all our love and sympathy to your family and plethora of friends...
