Christopher Paul Peterson, 55, of Elkins, WV, passed away, Monday, October 12, 2020, at his home.
Born Thursday, September 30, 1965 in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of Anna Marie (Yuknavich) Allen of Millville, DE and the late Jonathan Ralph Peterson.
He was most recently employed with Putting on the Ritz Catering in Jessup, MD and also Scotties in Elkins, WV. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and a founding member of the AARP Poker Club, and he volunteered with the Winter Relief Shelter. Chris was a loving devoted husband, father, brother, son and a loving, caring, playful Pop-Pop. He enjoyed the Baltimore Ravens football, star gazing & weather watching.
He is survived by his wife Debra Dyann Peterson; daughters, Amanda Varron and husband Kenneth of Hagerstown, MD and Samantha N. Louderback and husband Stephen of Pasadena, MD; four sons, Andrew R. Peterson of Elkins, WV, Christian Harper and wife Jennifer of Taneytown, MD, Ryan A. Peterson and wife Sheyanne of Live Oak, FL and Tyler C. Carey of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Jonathan D. Peterson of Bowie, MD and Daniel Peterson of Marshall, MI; sister, Linda M. Birner of Annapolis, MD and fourteen grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. James E. Moore officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association Memorial Processing Center P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA, 23058-5216.

Debbie I am truly sorry for your loss . You two were a great part of my life , many many laughs we shared and he will surely be missed by many . As some may just see him as one of our poker buddies he was much more than that . Lol . We all at a loss without chris and I know you want him to come home , but he is in a good place now looking out for us all.
