Cheryl Worthy, 62, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at her home.
Born Friday, April 17, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Milton Cooper, Sr. and the late Juliett (Butler) Cooper.
Cheryl graduated from Hagerstown Junior College, Colombia Union College and Temple University. She was formerly employed at Ft. Ritchie with the day-care. She was a member of Second Christian Church, where she served as the Head Deaconess, Sunday School Superintendent, Choir Director and Church Treasurer.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Leroy Jackson Worthy; three sons, Aaron Leroy Worthy and wife Heather of Hagerstown, MD, Eric Jackson Worthy and wife Centria of Baltimore, MD and Zachary John Worthy of Hagerstown, MD; brother, Sheldon Jerome Cooper.
Grandchildren, Jordan, Seth, Juliett, Jackson, Jada, Willow, Ivory and Zaria and numerous dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Faison, brothers, Milton Cooper, Jr. and Anthony Cooper.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM , at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD with the Rev.Gordon Lansdowne officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Doey's House c/o Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742..
