Caleb Michael Jack Conklin

Caleb Michael Jack Conklin, 26, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home in Hagerstown.

Born Monday, March 25, 1996 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of  Dawn Renee Weaver and Gregory Michael Conklin.

He was previously employed with C. William Hetzer and more recently with W. D. Wright Contracting Inc.

Caleb was a special young soul.  A caring man who often stopped to help a stranger on the street.  He loved his brothers and sisters. Known to his friends as “Shaggy”, they had a bond that took them to the outdoors, watching movies, playing video games and sitting by the fire pit.  He was the big brother to his little cousin Christopher playing endlessly with him and was especially close to his Aunt Shanna.  He enjoyed skating on his longboard.
Taken so young by his Creator, to His home, he will be greatly and dearly missed by many.    “…but now you are in the light of the Lord.”  Ephesians 5:8

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Linda Ruth Weaver of Hagerstown, MD; sisters, Delaynie N. Schlotterbeck and Sydney A. Schlotterbeck both of Hagerstown, MD; brothers, Mason M. Schlotterbeck, Jesse L. Schlotterbeck, and Jaden L. Schlotterbeck all of Hagerstown, MD; uncle, Chris D. Weaver and wife Kelly of Clear Spring, MD; aunt, Shanna L. Chatlos and husband Michael of Hagerstown, MD; several cousins and great uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Weaver; and maternal great grandparents, Jack and Virginia Weaver and Ross and Esther Grossnickle.

Services will be held privately. An announcement will be made for friends and family to gather to celebrate the life of Caleb in July.

Charitable contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.

On behalf of all of Jean's kids, we love you and will miss you bro. Rest easy.

Linda and family - We grew up at St. John’s Caleb and I, at one point we even became very close but with time and life we both took different paths. Caleb was a loyal friend and a curious soul. Me and my best friend, Ashley, are both heartbroken and shocked with loss of Caleb. Sending prayers of healing and love to you Linda and Dawn.
