Bruce was such an accomplished, multi-talented person and had such a kind, generous spirit. Our family will miss him terribly as a son, husband, father, brother and now grandfather. He will live on in his children's lives and the memories of all who knew and loved him. We will try to live up to his faithful love for all of us, though life will never be the same. With prayer and abiding love for each other, we may find some peace.

To Bruce: Piano player (by ear) extraordanaire, long-time chess player, sail boat sailor, and great green thumb (remember the jade tree) and father of three fantastic kids, and always fun adventures with Jamie through life . May your soul soar higher than your F-14. I will miss you!

I am so saddened to hear the news of Bruce’s passing. I’m happy that we were able to reconnect when our kids were in college. We had fun wagering a few bets on the Alabama vs Tennessee football games and even met up at one of the games in Knoxville. Bruce taught me to play a couple of songs on the piano back in high school. I’ll remember him as my Annapolis smart, multi-talented, witty, book-writing friend. Until we meet again my friend . . .

I was so sad to hear of Bruce’s passing. It’s been 30 years since we served together in VF-45. Just hearing his name brought back a flood of fond memories. Our month together in San Diego at the Topgun Adversary Course, and our time producing hilarious farewell videos for our squadron mates were true highlights. His sense of humor and laughter was infectious. The 3 years I got to know him and Jamie have stayed with me fondly, and I will always be grateful.

So sorry to hear of this. I have wonderful memories of living across the street from Bruce and Carol in Titusville. Something always going on in our busy childhood lives. Always thought it kind of cool that Bruce and I were both born on Jan 4. He in 1961 and me in 60.

Dearest Jamie and family, We were both shocked and saddened to hear of Bruce’s passing. I have such fond memories of him from our time together at the Naval Academy. Through the years, while we were there, we became very good friends. Playing sports together, particularly tennis, our trips to DC, and a Spring break trip to Fort Lauderdale; but mostly, spending weekends hanging out at the local pubs! All wonderful times! He was part of the Phi Sci brotherhood! Bruce was a great guy with great wit and charm. He was truly one-in-a-million. You have our very deepest sympathy. We are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time and share your grief. Our prayers are with you all! Mark and Sara Tarango USNA 82 17th Company

Dear Jamie & Family, Our hearts ache for you. Thinking of Bruce, we remember one of the world’s greatest smiles everyday in Key West. I think the biggest grin came after he landed an A-4 from the front seat... like he had been doing it his entire time in the Navy. Words cannot describe the breadth of his talents... be it piano lessons at the community college, windsurfing, circling Gilmore Drive in the stroller circuit, or creating another Blackbird Farewell Video ... Katie and I have always cherished our time in Key West because of the friendships, and you and Bruce shared that with everyone in VF-45. Please know we believe Bruce is in God’s company now. Katie and I will keep You and your family in our prayers as the days move forward in hopes we can help to lessen your grief just a little. God Bless You, Steve & Katie
