Anita Louise (Hatfield) Snyder, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, June 18, 2020 on her birthday at the Brookdale Senior Living.
Born Saturday, June 18, 1938 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth N. Hatfield and the late Catherine (Semler) Hatfield. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Lee Snyder, Sr.
She was employed at the Creasey Company, Godloves Liquors and later as a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker for 14 years retiring in 2009. She was a life long member of Christ Lutheran Church, and was involved with the Maryland Board of Realtors and the North Hagerstown High School Athletic and Band Boosters.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathi Jo Johnson of Hagerstown, MD; two sons, Ronald "Rusty" Lee Snyder, Jr. and wife Doreen of Shallotte, NC, James Michael Snyder and wife Pam of Hagerstown, MD; four grandchildren, Allie Catherine Dattilio and husband Mark of Hagerstown, MD, Alexis Ciara Lockley of Philadelphia, PA, Addison Lee Snyder of Hagerstown, MD, Marlie Grace Snyder; three great-grandchildren, Edward Avery Dattilio, Juniper Helen Dattilio and James Patrick Dattilio.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth "Buck" Hartman and her grandson Avery James Snyder.
Services will be held Monday, June 22, 2020, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with Rev. Kibreab Gudeta officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Avery Snyder Memorial Fund c/o the Community Foundation of Washington County, Inc. 37 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I wanted to come to the viewing but i am social distancing because Eddie, my son, is very medically compromised. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I am sorry I couldn’t pay my respects.

So sorry for the loss of Anita. She and Ronnie were two of the nicest people. As a friend of Jamie’s growing up, they were always welcoming and fun to be around. Anita was a mother to everyone at Federal LL in the mid 70’s and she alway has plenty of bubble gum to share. Rest In Peace .
Anita was a wonderful realtor. We spoke many times of her children and grand children. May god bless all of you as you morn Anita. Remember the good times
