I savor fond memories of uncle Alan coming to visit as I was growing up. Alan made a special effort to spend time with us as children and young adults. Whenever we spoke on the phone he never failed to ask me about my brothers and sisters. Alan, rock on and entertain the angels with your singing. You will be missed.

Minnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Alan was such a great uncle when we were young -- he and Bobby would come up to visit. Alan was in his twenties, and we would literally throw ourselves at him... Poor man was mobbed by all these McCarron children and dogs and He and Bobby just rolled with it... He was amazing. Love, Mary-Jo

Dear Family, I graduated with Alan in 1957. Over the years we would run into each other at various events. A long time ago, If I remember correctly, he umpired a softball game when my daughter played. He was always friendly and a gentleman. He was a credit to our class. His obituary shows what an outstanding citizen and family man he was. I know he is missed but he leaves a wonderful legacy. Jo Ann

Mr. Williams was a great science teacher. I remember him fondly. Prayers for the family.
He taught many at Springfield Middle. He was my teacher and later in life , he was my friend. Alan was a tremendous support of bands I was a part of and also was my partner helping me do karaoke through the 1990’s. He spoiled my children and became friends with my parents as well. He was an incredible man that loved his friends and family. He was often with us for holiday celebrations. I remember when he got married to Minnie. We enjoyed celebrating . He was a true blessing and I am so grateful to have had him in my life. Our sincerest condolences and love to his family! Little Willie, Papa Smurf or Yoda will surely be loved in the after life. Thank you for being my teacher and my friend. You will certainly be missed by so many!

Rest in Peace, my brother. When Al was young, he liked to perform . He loved to sing & act in local plays. We acted in a local play @ Zion's Church, under the direction of Rev. Haines, where he played my son. He loved to visit us in New Jersey, because he enjoyed visiting with our children. In recent years when we spoke on the phone, he always inquired about the whole family.
