Virginia was a dear friend, wonderful teacher and mentor, and like a second mother to me in some ways during my youth. I loved her dearly, and my heart goes out to Quin, Barb, Ben and all the family in their time of mourning the loss of this special woman.

She was a real friend during a dark period of my life.
Virginia was one of my phonics teachers in elementary school. I will never forget her. She was always passionate about what she did and cared for the children she taught.
