I extend my sincerest condolences to the entire Randall family, and to all who have been impacted by the life of this beautiful gift of to the world. Val was a precious friend and colleague during my employment with CBP/OTD/LODD. We established a beautiful friendship that was established on the basis of someone we both knew and loved--Jesus Christ! I so fondly recall her coming into my office and we would spend a considerable amount of time together praying, declaring the word of God over our workplace and colleagues. Her smile was a ministry unto itself, because it could keep ones' heart encouraged and spirit lifted in the most holy faith. Val, you lived each day for the promise God has promised to every born-again believer. You are now named among the faithful saints. You have recieved the promise, and now you rest in eternity with the One in whom your soul loves. The Angel's are heralding... Lift up your head O gates, and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors for the King of Glory is coming in with one of His saints, Valarie B. Randall. I will see you again my sister friend, because I too am living for the promise. What a day of rejoicing it will be! Dr. Sonja R. Frazier

My sincere condolences to Valerie’s family and friends. Val was my respected colleague, friend, and a sister in faith. In a recent illness, she sent me notes and cards of encouragement, assuring me of her prayers. Now, sadly, she herself is gone.... In our faith, we trust that she has gone before us to that better place on which she had her sight firmly fixed. May Valerie now Rest In Peace!

My condolences to the Randall family and close friends. Val and I met many years ago at US Customs and Border Protection. From day one, I knew she was a strong and faithful lady. I had the honor of working closely with Val for 2 years. She would often talk about how she and Rudi would cook all kinds of special meals. She was a devoted mother and Believer who was compassionate about her family and faith. If you were discouraged, Val made sure you knew that there was a higher power in control and not to worry. Brandon and Rudi please believe that your mother’s love is with you. May God comfort and guide you during this difficult time.

My condolences to the family and friends of Val (I lovingly called her)… Heaven has another SHERO! We both were in training and if there was needed guidance, I would go to her for assistance. I recall visiting the Training Center in Harpers Ferry for a week. We would go to lunch every day at Chick-fil-A, I believe one of her favorite restaurants. We all will miss her dearly...may she rest in peace. Mo.

My deepest condolences are extended to the Randall family, Brandon, Rudi, close friends and associates of Val. I met Val over 13 years ago when she first EOD with CBP. We worked closely together for several years and developed a friendship beyond the office. She would often call to check-in on me and the boys. Always making sure we were ok and eagerly anticipating me sharing stories about their schooling, growth and development. Val enjoyed stories and meaningful conversations. She was always up to date with latest news/events and looked forward to hearing my thoughts. She’d say with a smile: “Now, Ms. Maya, what are your thoughts?” “I’d like to hear from you”. Val had a genuine essence about life. She was caring of others and always shared her time to give back to the community. She was a true leader who believed that leadership is not a title. It’s a behavior, and how you take care of people. An intellect, she was thoughtful, factual in her delivery, direct in her intentions, and filled with God’s grace. Val loved her late Mother, Ms. Bernadette, Brandon and Rudi immensely. On 9/4/19 Val and I communicated for the last time. She shared an inspirational quote and referred to me as a “Beacon of Light”. I can only hope that I touched her life in a way that she has inspired and lifted me over the years. I will remember my dear friend Val by her sweet spirit, positive attitude, infectious smile/laughter, generous heart and devotion to her faith, family and friends. Her memory will forever be etched in my heart. Brandon and Rudi- may the memories of your Mom comfort your hearts and may God’s love keep you always.

Val was a really special woman. I had the honor of working with her for 3 years. During that time, I had the honor to get to know her. She loved her children, family, and church very much. She bragged about Rudi’s many accomplishments in high school. Her strong faith was contagious.
