Obituary

Sherley Ann Stottlemyer, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Saturday, June 8, 2019, at  Ravenwood Lutheran Village.

Born Monday, May 18, 1942 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Francis Davis and the late Frances (Strausbaugh) Davis.She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Leon Stottlemyer.

Sherley obtained her GED in 2002. She was employed with the Washington County Hospital / Meritus Medical Center retiring after more than 30 years of service.Sherley was a member of several bowling leagues at Turner's Dual Lanes, she also enjoyed puzzle books, games, singing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Stottlemyer, II of Hagerstown, MD; two daughters, Sherri  C. L. Stottlemyer of Fayetteville, NC and Denise M. Stottlemyer and significant other Glen Poffenberger of Hagerstown, MD; three grandsons, Ryan M. Stottlemyer of Hagerstown, MD, Eric R. Stottlemyer of Stephens City, VA and Peyton T. Stottlemyer of Hagerstown; three sisters, Carolyn Stottlemyer of WV, Sarah Breeden of WV and Bertha Staubs of WV.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Hawkins and brother, Eddie Koontz.

Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, at 10:30 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with Robert Deeds officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
