Michelle Ann Walker, 55, of Rose Haven, MD (formerly of Cheverly, MD) passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2020. Michelle was born, along with her precious twin Michael, on Dec. 24, 1964. She was the loving daughter of Mary Walker and the late Charles Walker. She is survived by her son Charles Humphrey, sister Susan Walker Cross (Kevin) of Dunkirk, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
Michelle attended Elizabeth Seton High School and graduated from Largo High School. She attended the Maryland College of Art and Design, where she was able to share with others her tremendous talent in art. Michelle loved animals, gardening, genealogy, and most especially her son. She was a passionate, and kind caregiver and truly loved those in her care; Michelle considered them an extension of her family. She was recently employed by the Washington County Council on Human Development in Hagerstown, MD, which she truly loved. She was an avid advocate for those with learning disabilities and for those with developmental cognitive disabilities.
A memorial will be held at a future date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a small donation be made in her name to the ARC.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.

I was looking through the county paper today and saw Michelle’s obituary. I went to Largo with her and had a few classes with her. I’m so sorry to hear this. I remember her beautiful smile and wit and always laughing. Sorry I lost touch with her after school, but it seems we were living not far from each other. I’m sure our paths have crossed since then. Rest in piece Michelle

I am devastated to hear this news and just can’t believe this is real. Michelle and I shared a bond of losing our twins. Through this loss we built a strong friendship and she has been a great support and inspiration to me. I will truly miss her. I take comfort in knowing that she has reunited with her twin Oh what a beautiful reunion that must’ve been. ❤️❤️ My heart goes out to her son Charles who she had wonderful admiration and love for. You were the moon and stars.

The first time I met Michelle at work within the first few seconds she had asked my to clip her hang nail lol. I came to learn that’s who she was even if she only just met you, it did not matter to her she treated you like you was a life long friends. She had such an open, embracing soul. May your soul be at rest sweet Michelle, RIP.

I am so very sorry to hear of Michelle’s passing. I have very fond memories of her and her family growing up in Cheverly.
My best friend of 36 years, my maid of honor, my Camp Sister, is gone. Michelle and I met at Camp, and we were inseparable from the start. There wasn't a stone left unturned between us- we knew each other's treasures and triumphs, the good, the bad, and the beautiful. I will miss her beautiful spirit. I am sad for her family. I am mad at what she had to endure in her life. I hope her God has reunited her with her brother and father. I am grateful for the time we had at the Camp reunion this past September. I am heartbroken that she was alone. I am glad to have been a part of her life. I am honored that she called me friend. I am awed at her capacity for love and forgiveness. But mostly, I grieve. My friend is gone. I hope she is at peace. Loved ya like a sister, Michelle. You were truly the best of friends, and the world is a lot smaller today.

Rest in Peace Michelle, we just texted about having lunch when this COVID was over.
She was my coworker but mostly a friend. She was the sweetest soul ❤️❤️❤️ We recently had lunch at Roy Rogers had good talks and laughs!!!! Her and I worked overnights together. She is at peace. She said if she’s here she’s happy she’s with her son. If she went away she was with her brother ❤️ Rest In Peace as she would call me (babygirl)
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have many happy childhood memories spending time with the Walkers. Sending big hugs.

Michelle was truly a kind, amazing woman who I grew very fond of in my time of working with her. I would like to think we had a mutual close friendship. She always made me laugh and I loved hearing the stories she would tell me of her family and brother. She will always carry an impact on my life, as well as others I’m sure. Rest In Peace lovely, see you later.
