I just wanted to say a few words this morning about my buddy Mike we had an awesome loving friendship also a mother-son relationship . he would tell me how I should run my life and I would tell him how to run his. we were a perfect match and never followed each other's advice because we were both hard-headed and stubborn. last may he stopped by with a huge beautiful flower and a note saying "for my other mother on Mother's Day" over the years we supported each other when life would threw throw us a curve. I was a new employee in maintenance when I first met Mike he was rescuing two kittens from under a wooden ramp outside our office. well it was love at first sight he could do no wrong from that day forward. years later he built a feline safe screened in and covered porch for us. it's as perfect today as it was when he built it he was an outstanding Carpenter and a perfectionist . Mike spent hours with his next-door neighbors kids taking them to school for ice cream rides and just rides in his truck. He had a huge heart and a loving soul . Colby was his German Shepherd and he loved him dearly I could go on about the times we sat at the kitchen table sharing dreams hopes and beer. The last few years had been so hard for him and others that didn't understand the complexities of his health. I hope all of you will reflect on happier times we all spent with Mike and remember His kindness and his love. I found this little quote and would like to share ""the best portion of a good man's life is his little nameless unremembered acts of kindness and love "" this is what I'll always remember and smile about when I think of ""Mikie"" thank you

I’m sorry to hear about your family member Douglas I did not know him personally but it was on a Lyme online support group and said that he died from complications due to Lyme’s disease. I just want to say my heart and prayers are with you I have chronic Lyme disease I understand the struggles from it I Like in Maryland and just want to say that everybody sends prayers.

Jane and Michelle, I am Ron and Chris Woods mom. I was so sorry to hear that Michael had passed. I have so many fun memories of he and Chris when they were growing up. He was a regular fixture at my house. I am so saddened that this wonderful young man had so many demons haunting him and keeping him in a,state of despair. I know in my heart of hearts that he is now resting in God's arms and finally feeling the peace he so deserved. God Bless you and Michelle, and I hope you will allow God to carry you through this difficult time. My heart goes out to all of you who loved Michael. The world will be a sadder place without him in it.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Mike’s untimely passing. My husband and I always enjoyed our bike rides with him. He was a wonderful friend to our family. Always there to lend a helping hand, no matter how big or small. He helped my son build a bigger aquarium for his bearded dragon, and once drove me to 3 different stores in 3 separate states to get individual pieces for an outdoor sectional I wanted because no one store had them all. He had such a big heart, and we will greatly miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be sending up prayers for the entire family. I don't know if you are aware that a co-infection of lyme disease called Bartonella causes mental illness. If treated it can be resolved. Sadly, most doctors don't know enough about lyme disease and it's co-infections. I too have been fighting lyme for over twenty-five years. I never had the privilege of meeting Michael even though we live so close by. I know that Michael will be pain free now and have beautiful wings. I would love to add him to our lyme community banner for those that we have lost. The names will be read aloud at the May Day protest in Washington, DC. Please let me know if you would allow us to honor him in this way. God Bless.
