Linda Mae Carter, 55, of Greencastle, PA, and formerly of Hagerstown, MD passed away, Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Born Wednesday, December 11, 1963 in Gaithersburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Edward Kemp and the late Blanche Mae Kemp.
Linda graduated from Magruder High School in Gaithersburg, MD in 1981.She was employed at the Washington County Hospital for many years. Linda enjoyed country music and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Douglas Wayne Carter; three sons, Bobby Joe Carter of Hagerstown, MD, Christopher Allen Carter and wife Kristin of Frederick, MD and Cody Justin Carter of Greencastle, PA; two sisters, Margaret Kemp of WV and Rhoda Ernst of TN; brother, Samuel Kemp, Jr. of WV; three grandsons, Cam Tycen Carter of Hagerstown, MD, Cole Michael Carter and Jack Jameson Carter both of Frederick, MD.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Services and interment will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness of the Cumberland Valley 324 Antietam Street Suite 101, Hagerstown, MD, 21740.
