June Elaine (Priest) Campbell, 80, of Clear Spring, MD, passed away, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Meritus Medical Center, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Monday, October 31, 1938 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late George M. Priest Jr. and the late Margaret (Burger) Priest.
June was a member of the Conococheague Mennonite Church. Everyone knew June as a very kind and loving person, she especially enjoyed gathering flowers from her garden, arranging them and sharing them with family, friends and neighbors. She was very devoted to her husband and family. It was her joy and honor and was obvious by how she cared for them.
She is survived by her husband J. Arnold Campbell; three sons, James Campbell, Jr. & wife Judith, Joseph A. Campbell & wife Cynthianna and Jeremy A. Campbell & wife Karen all of Clear Spring, MD; daughter-in law, Sandra K. Campbell of New Holland, PA; two sisters, Joann Little and Linda L. Priest both of Hagerstown, MD; brother, Marvin L. Priest of Greencastle, PA; twenty one grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; son, Jason L. Campbell, brother, George M. Priest, III, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 10:30 am, at the Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Family will receive friends at Conococheague Mennonite Church, 12403 Huyett Lane, Hagerstown, MD on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Conococheague Mennonite Church Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
Please accept my condolences for your loss. Until the time when we are no longer plagued by the pain and sorrow brought on by the loss of a loved one, may the God of tender mercies and of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3,4) provide you with the comfort you will need during your time of sorrow.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear loved one June Elaine Campbell. I hope you find the below Bible verse comforting during this time of sorrow. Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
