I live directly behind from the station and have known John since I was a little girl. I was watching out my window the night of the storm and immediately called 911 to come. That entire evening I thought of John and his station and what he must be going through. My heart breaks for his family and loved ones. He was a one of a kind! A true and trustworthy business owner with a heart of gold. It's the only shop all of my vehicles have ever been serviced at and I am so truly appreciative for it all! He never forgot to ask how my dad and nanny were doing (who also took their cars there) and tell me he saw my dog in the yard barking and scaring the people walking the neighborhood. I hope his family knows what a beautiful human he was and that I feel honored to have know him over the years. Peace and blessings
I moved to Hagerstown 3 years ago and immediately found John at Longmeadow Auto Repairs. Words can not express his understanding and kindness and service he provided. My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family. Jacqi Smith
I was very sorry to here of John's passing. I remember John from many years ago in Greenberry Hills when he would come to visit his brother and my neighbor Ed. The three of us would always have a good time and even though this was roughly 1973 thru 1980 I still remember John fondly. Please accept my condolences and know that I will keep John and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Like so many others with fond memories of John, I am so sad to learn of his passing. John not only pumped my gas for me whenever I would pull up outside, he serviced our family cars for several years. We always knew we could trust John and his crew. I enjoyed his friendly banter and his wonderful smile. He is gone too soon. Bo and I both want the family to know that he will be missed by so many!

For many years, 'Mr. Kemmet' was my mother's guardian angel when it came to caring for her car, and ultimately for her! His many kindnesses, his patience and good humor made him one of a kind in our book. We will always remember him for his outstanding service, and even more for the gentle thoughtfulness he showed our mother. Many blessings to the family. He will be greatly missed.
