Obituary

USMC Sergeant Jamen Michael Srun, age 26, of Hagerstown, MD, died March 29, 2019.

He is survived by his parents, John and Cindy Srun; his brother, John Srun, Jr.; his sisters Elina and  Ashley Srun; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.

A recent graduate of the University of  AZ, Jamen just began his career, working as an Account Executive at Yelp in Washington, DC.  Jamen's true passion was acting, and he had hoped to one day be seen on the big screen.  He proudly served his country for four years immediately after graduating high school and lived every day to the fullest.  He had a huge personality and is missed tremendously.

Family will receive visitors at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, located at 1331 Eastern Blvd. N., Hagerstown, MD, on Friday, April 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Saturday, April 6 at 3:00 p.m.  Pastor Tim Fisher will officiate.

Interment will be private.

Guest Book

With my brother a piece of my own life is carried to the grave, yet our eyes are upon thee. We believe in the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We give thanks to God for the life, the suffering, and the witness of our brother whose friends we were privileged to be. We pray God to lead us too, through his discipleship, from this world into his heavenly kingdom. Fulfill in us while confiding, I cannot but rejoice. See you soon enough.

Dear Family of Jamen, we are so very sorry and have very heavy hearts right now. Our son Ryan and Jamen were very close, and we had several nice visits with Jamen at our home in Waynesboro over the years. He was always polite, respectful and a meaningful young man. Or prayers and warm thoughts are with you all. Gary & Luanne Paolini

There are no words. I loved you from the moment you entered this world and am so proud of you for all of your achievements. The realities of life may have separated us, but death will reunite us one day. You will forever remain in our hearts until then. I can't wait to hold you in my arms when we meet again. In the interim, no picking on your fellow angels!!
