I am Greg(gy)'s cousin; niece of Gregory Cole, Sr. I have so many fond childhood memories of my time with Greg, Jr.! I spent so much time with Greg and his sister, Michelle, that I scarcely have a childhood memory that does not include them. I am devastated at the news of his passing. My prayers have been and will be constant for my cousin and his siblings (Michelle and Matthew), my uncle, my aunts, Greg's wife and children and the entire family as we grieve his loss and remember his life. Junior was so much fun and had the best sense of humor! He faced so many challenges with his health as a child and, I believe, this helped him to become the amazingly positive, giving and successful man we all remember. I will miss you, Greggy, and I love you always!!!

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Greg was a very good man. We went to the DOC Academy together and worked together side by side in Hagerstown for many years. We shared a couple fishing trips and ATV riding days including when he broke his arm on an ATV in Cumberland and drove back to Hagerstown that way. He was tough and kind at the same time. I will miss running into him and catching up from time to time. I will be praying that God will comfort your family at this time. Prov. 3:5-6

Greg was one of my supervisors when I started working at MCIH almost 15 years ago. He was so kind and helpful and we all knew that he "had our backs" while on duty. I also had the opportunity to work in our training department under his direction. Greg always had a smile and we shared stories of our daughters playing soccer. He loved the game and cherished the opportunity to coach! He will never be forgotten here at MCIH. God bless his wife, children and family during this tragic time.
Greg was a good man, friend and co-worker. He will be deeply missed in our office. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Brother

Known as coach cole by many including myself. He was a great guy. I grew up playing soccer for him as he taught me about not only the game but life. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and sometimes you tie and you just have to get around it. An inspiration to many. He always made an impact and everyone he was around. Never a dull moment. Always in our hearts.

Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I am still having such a hard time believing the last week has happened. Greg was such a great coach and cared for all of his players. He inspired Brittany to work hard and be the best player she could be in travel ball. He always managed to follow the Mcbg High School girls while he coached over the mt also, even watching our team win the D5 game in Bedford County while he also coached his girls to a district title the same year. He had so much dedication. We just recently chatted with him over at a Forbes Road soccer game. Didn't matter where we ran into him, he always gave us his big smile and a big hug. Greg, you will be missed by so many people! Nicki, Brittany, Jerre, and Cody Parson
A classmate, teammate and friend. May God rest your soul and my deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time.

I was and am deeply saddened by Greg's passing. I played soccer with Greg on the Carlisle Nova team for the past season and a half. Unfortunately I did not get to know him well off the field. I appreciated the passion he brought to every game that he played. He held nothing back. I just wanted to say that Greg's life touched many. May he rest and you find the peace to carry you through each day. Ed
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Praying for the family's strength.

I would like to extend my condolences to your entire family. I am sorry for your loss. It is with a heavy heart that I type this but I just wanted to share a short story from my days in the academy. Greg was one of my instructors and we were learning how to throw elbows in DT class. He said he would practice his in the mirror while brushing his teeth. He told us to take it serious because no matter what happened, your goal was to make it home to your family at night. We don't usually talk about our families at work, but Greg used his family as motivation to make it home every night and to train others to do the same. I will be ever thankful for his training and dedication to staff safety. God Bless you all !!!!
I have had the pleasure of training under and then side by side with Captain Cole for the last 8 years. His experience and professionalism is second to none. His tragic and sudden loss, is deeply felt. He will not be forgotten. My sincerest condolences to his Wife, children and family. Rest in peace Greg.
