Obituary

Floyd Edward Jenkins, 84, of 243 Winter Street, Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, March 6, 2020, at Doey's House.

Born Monday, April 8, 1935 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Larkin Jenkins and the late Blanch I (Hensley) Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife Lena Mae Jenkins in 2019.

Floyd was a member of the Moose Club, and coached baseball at West End Little League. More than anything he enjoyed his children and grand-kids, fishing and cooking. One of Floyd’s greatest loves was taking regular evening drives through the mountains, stopping to see the deer and local wildlife. Floyd was very proud of his neighborhood and was often referred to as "the Mayor of Winter Street".

He is survived by his daughters, Debra K. Malkin and husband Steven of Damascus, MD, Robin A. Jenkins of Hagerstown, MD, Beverly M. Morris and husband Gary of Shenandoah, VA; son, Jeffrey J. Jenkins and wife Michelle of Hagerstown, MD; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great & great great-grandchildren; sister, Frannie Miller of Hagerstown, MD.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen L. Moore, son-in-law, Michael Moore, sisters, Margie Mumma, Grace McCarty, Nancy McCarney, and Jane Zimmerman, brothers, Donald  Jenkins, Roy Jenkins,and Butch Jenkins.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Doey's House c/o Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.

I love you Dad!! Been thinking alot since Mom passed as selfish as it is I wasn't ready for her nor you to go,it happen so fast, but deep in my heart I know God takes the best. Their is so much I could say about the both of you,but it would take forever. You were the best Dad ever,even though at times I was your outspoken Daughter from day one & still am I knew you loved me no matter what. You & Mom left us with alot of great memories to hold on to & all five of your kids were the lucky ones,to have the best parents ever!! I'm gonna be lost with you & Mom,but I know I will see you both again one day.I will forever carry you & Mom in my heart.I love you Dad, until we meet again!!
