Obituary

On Wednesday December 18th 2019, Cynthia “Sissy” Stubbs peacefully transitioned in her home. Sissy was born June 5th 1953 in Hagerstown Maryland.  She was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Mildred “Sams” Lee. 
She attended Greater Campher Temple. Sissy was loved by many friends and family. Sissy was employed over 18 years by Washington County Hospital and then Mertius Medical Center until she retired in 2015. 
She was survived by her companion John Fletcher one son Chad Stubbs Sr. and one daughter Nikki Stubbs Jones, all of Hagerstown; six grandchildren Jordan Jones and husband Evan, Nicholas Stubbs and wife Alissa, Erin Stubbs, Tyler Stubbs, Chad Stubbs  Jr, and Aaliyah, all of Hagerstown; one great grandson son Kameron and a baby on the way; three sisters Cassaundra Sams of Philadelphia, PA, Delores “Peaches” Bell and husband Anthony “Tony” Jr, Carol Smothers and husband John; one brother Michael “Tony” Lee and wife Donnie “Peaches” and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her sisters Maria “Rita” Bynum and Catherine Campbell, one brother James Lee Sr. Granddaughter Natasha “Tasha” Hudson and husband Andrew “Butch” Stubbs.   

Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 12:00 PM, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD with the Pastor Jamol Cooper officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Interment will be private.

To Chad, Sr. and family: I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one, she is with our Lord and Savior in the most wonderful place, Heaven, where she is surrounded by Peace, Love, Joy and a choir of Angels. She will always be with you, listen quietly and you will hear her beautiful voice.
