On Saturday August 17, 2019, Catherine Virginia (Lee) Campbell transitioned from her earthly realm to her heavenly realm where her heavenly father received her.
Born Tuesday May 18, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and the late Mildred (Sams) Lee.
She was a member of Greater Campher Temple Church formerly known as King’s Apostle Holiness Church of God, Hagerstown, Md, were she served on the Nurse Unit Auxiliary.
Catherine was a great woman of faith, a loving Mother, Wife and Sister. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.
She took great delight in being a Crossing Guard and Lunch Lady for Western Heights Middle School where she worked for many years.
Catherine lived life to the fullest and enjoyed life to the utmost. She will surely be missed by many that loved her.
She is survived by her husband Francis Campbell, Sr. of Hagerstown, Md. two daughters Star Goeins Jarrett and husband Orrane; and Latisha Campbell; one son Frances Campbell, Jr. all of Hagerstown, Md. Eight- grandchildren, Raeya Pappariella and husband Daniel, Anthony Lee, Jr. and wife Champal, Diamond Campbell, Domenic, Roman, Delainey and Amari Lee all of Hagerstown, Md,; Bailey Newman and husband Cody, of Fort Riley, Kansas; two great-granddaughters , Delilah and Lilly Anna; four sisters Cassaundra Sams, of Philadelphia, Pa, Cynthia “Sissy” Stubs and special friend John Fletcher, Delores “Peaches” Bell and husband Anthony, Jr., Carol Smothers and husband John; one brother Tony Lee and wife Donnie “Peaches” all of Hagerstown, Md, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Carmella Denise Goeins, brother James Lee, Sr. and sister Maria “Rita” Bynum.
Services will be held, Saturday August 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Douglas Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, Md. Elder Tracey Brown, officiating, Presiding Elder Darin Mency the Eulogy.
Family will receive friends one-hour prior service August 31st at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Internment will be held at the convenience of the family.
