To her family, she was the voice of reason, advice giver, storyteller, hand holder, supporter, broken heart healer, teacher, peacekeeper, confidant, nerve calmer, problem solver, steamer maker and the heart and soul of her family.
Ecile was an angel on earth who tirelessly gave of herself to her family, friends, church and community.

Private services will be held at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Margaret Clemons officiating.
Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
Knowing Ecile would not want to jeopardize the health of her friends due to the COVID-19 virus, the family has decided to have a celebration of Ecile's life at a later date.

The number of lives that Ecile touched is immeasurable. She was truly an angel on earth. My heart goes out to family, friends and all who knew and loved her. Our lives were better for having her in it. I worked with Ecile at Washington County Hospital and learned so much from her. You all don't know me but I met Ecile at Washington County Hospital. She was head nurse on 5A. I was working on 5D. She was one of the most caring, loving and gentle people that I have met. Her smile lit up the room. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my prayers as you learned to live without this very special person. She was an angel of God.
Sending thoughts and prayers to the whole family during this difficult time. Thinking of you all.

I loved Ecile like my grandmother. She was so wonderful to talk to, and she always sincerely hugged me or held my hand. She is such a beautiful soul, and I will miss her and think of her whenever my heart is warmed by our family. In the best way. I wish I could come to the service, but working in health care, I am overly cautious about being around anyone right now. I look forward to her celebration of life later this year, as there is so much to be reminded of and share! <3 Sending everyone love and peaceful moments. I will see you all soon. Love, Britt
Ecile will be in my memories as a kind-hearted, always happy, family loving Lady. I am so glad that I had the privilege of knowing her. She was a pillar at Grace United Methodist Church where I first met her and became lifelong friends with Kim, who has so many of her fine qualities.. Sincere condolences and healing prayers to the family. You all have many loving memories of her to hold close at heart. With sympathy and friendship, Lucinda, Ed, and Allen Beard
