Beth Anne Stouffer, 92, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at her home.
Born Friday, December 10, 1926 in Price, UT, she was the daughter of the late Lycurgus O'Neil and the late Rozelda (Anderton) O'Neil. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Stouffer, Sr.
Beth graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Tacoma, Washington.She was employed with the Washington County Board of Education as an Educational Assistant at Winter Street and Woodland Way Elementary Schools and Williamsport High School.Beth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she started the Food Bank in the 1970's and continued to oversee its operation for over thirty years. She was the first woman to serve on the church council. She helped start the Sunshine Class at St. Mark's for people with special needs. In recent years she could also be found volunteering at Holly Place.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Valle and her partner Kathleen Ellis of Baltimore, MD and Elizabeth "Libby" Fitz of Hagerstown, MD; son, Robert Lee Stouffer Jr. and wife Linda of Missoula, MT; two grandchildren, Dawn Jackson and husband Stuart of Missoula, MT and Noah Stouffer of Hagerstown, MD.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Forrest Stouffer, sisters, Olga Ootkin, Helen Lake, Donna Kebabjian, brothers, Rex O'Neil, Lloyd O'Neil, Blake O'Neil and Donald O'Neil.
Memorial services will be held Monday, October 14, 2019, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. G. Stanley Steele officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, October 14, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Private interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.

Many fond memories of my aunt "Pinkie" when visiting her and uncle Bob's house on the Dual Highway. A wonderful person who will not be soon forgotten! Peace to my cousins Bob Stouffer & his wife Linda, Linda Valle, Libby Fitz & Noah Stouffer.

Oh ,Stouffer Family my heart is with u . I know how hard it is to loose your Mom . Our mom’s were always friends . Bob , Linda and Libby I wish I could be with u on Monday but My Sister just let me know about this and I have a meeting tomorrow . Just know I will be there in spirit . I grew with your family at St Marks . Your parents both graduated with Mom from high school . Your Dad seems like has been gone forever . He was in charge of sending out the reminders for their class reunion . After he was gone , My mom took over . I did not know that Libby had two sons . Take care . Love , Ann

Libby, I was sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. She was a remarkable woman. My kids had her at Winter Street and loved her. She worked tirelessly at food bank and was always so kind with people. Sending Prayers to you and your family, may she RIP.
