Sandra Lee Needy, 68, of 449 Guilford Ave., Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her home.

Born Friday, November 26, 1943 in Windsor, VT, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. Davidson and the late Kathleen L. Dewey Davidson.

She graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1961. She was an alumni of the Washington County Hospital Nursing Program, graduating in 1964. She was a registered nurse at the Washington County Hospital, retiring in 2007. She also attended Shiloh United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Franklin Needy Jr.; daughters, Kathy Fogle of Lantana, TX, and Karen Waltz of Smithsburg, MD; sons, Kevin Needy of Hagerstown, MD, and Karl Needy of Newport, TN; sisters, Sheila Rogers of Greenwood, SC, and Kimberly Davidson of Edmund, OK; grandchildren, Jonathan and Megan Ball, Quinton Fogle, Edward, Cody, Nora and Kaleb Waltz, Jessica, Aaron and Brandon Needy, Bradley and Owen Ridenour; and great-grandson, Colton Ball.

She was preceded in death by brother, Duane Davidson.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 11:00 am, from the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. Hagerstown, MD 21742, with the Rev. Bill Warehime officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, MD 21795.
