Linda Jean Howerton, 58, of 1008F Security Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Sunday, April 8, 2012, at her home.

Born Thursday, July 2, 1953 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of Carl Wismer of Stephens City, Va, and the late Faye Jean (Bowers) Wismer.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Phi Theta Kappa

Besides her father she is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth J. Kees, Edith V. Howerton and Sarah M. Howerton all of Hagerstown, MD, sister, Christine Wismer of FL., brothers, Don Wismer of Stephens City, VA and Lawrence Wismer of NJ, three grandchildren, Alanis, Bella, & Daniel.

Memorial services will be held Thursday April 19,2012 at 6:30 PM at St. Marks Lutheran Church 601 Washington Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. J. Stanley Steele officiating.

Family will receive friends at the church following the service.
