David Russell Brechbill , 54, of 540 Michigan Drive, Falling Waters, WV, passed away, Monday, April 2, 2012, at the City Hospital.

Born Wednesday, April 17, 1957 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Glenna Elaine (Miller) Brechbill of Smithsburg, MD and the late Russell C. Brechbill.

He was a 1975 graduate of Smithsburg High School and later graduated from Hagerstown Junior College with a mechanical engineering degree. He began his working career at Zayre, Grove Mfg., Jerr Dan and the Pangborn Corp. He most recently had been employed with Newell Rubbermaid as a Quality Control Engineer.

David loved playing cards, traveling with his wife and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Renee A. Brechbill , daughter, Tammi M. Staley & husband Mark of Hagerstown, MD, son, W. Allen Arrington of Chesterfield, MI, sister, Janet B. Venneri & husband Sam of Middletown, MD, brother, Daniel E. Brechbill of Smithsburg, MD, granddaughter, Kayla N. Staley, grandson, Kade Z. Staley, granddaughter, Jordan T. Arrington, grandson, Brandon A. Arrington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 10:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd.North, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. John W. Schildt officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 06, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
