 Paul Howard Schlotterbeck , 91, of  Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born Monday, July 12, 1926 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Albert Richard Schlotterbeck Sr. and the late Edith V.(Marker) Schlotterbeck. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Evelyn Schlotterbeck in 2013.
Paul was a carpenter for 42 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Western Maryland Sportsman's Club, North American Rod   Gun Club, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, Eagles Club Aerie Lodge 694, Antietam Fire Company, VFW of Greencastle, PA and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters   Joiners Local 1590. 
He is survived by his son, Mark Paul Schlotterbeck and wife Debbie of Wetumpka, AL; one sister, Patricia Hovermale of Hagerstown, MD; two brothers, Allen E. Schlotterbeck of Hagerstown, MD and Kenneth P. Schlotterbeck of Florida, three grandchildren, Andrea Hatchcock and husband George of Montgomery, AL, Christopher Schlotterbeck of Vacaville, CA, and James Schlotterbeck and wife Mary of Montgomery, AL and one great grandchild Luke Hatchcock.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothea Smith and Martha J. Loudin, and brothers, Albert Richard Schlotterbeck, Jr. and Donald R. Schlotterbeck.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 10:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. G. Stanley Steele and the Rev. Thomas L. Perry officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 4, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740, or to the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, American Legion Scholarship Fund, 405 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
