"George was my boss and dear friend from 1978 to 1982. We did many things together outside of work, mowing at the church, cutting trees, picking asparagus from his parent's garden.... This was at a time in my life when my father passed away, and George spent much time with me and helped me so very much. He taught me that no matter how much you may not want to do something, if it needs to be done, you may as well just do it the best you can. My condolences to his family and I am forever grateful that he took time to help me through the most difficult time in my life.
