  • "My deepest condolences to the entire family. George worked with my husband at Comsat Labs, later Lockheed Martin. George was at our house often over the years and his stories were a great comfort when my husband died in 2009. George's death is a great loss to all that knew him."

  • "My husband James and I extend our condolences to the entire family. I knew George when I worked as a security guard at Comsat Labs back in the 1990's. He was always a pistol, and a shift rarely passed without one of us joking to the other about something. He took his job seriously, but still managed to liven up a work shift in one form or another. He's gone too soon, but he definitely managed to make his mark here while he lived. George, you will be missed by many!"

  • "George was my boss and dear friend from 1978 to 1982. We did many things together outside of work, mowing at the church, cutting trees, picking asparagus from his parent's garden.... This was at a time in my life when my father passed away, and George spent much time with me and helped me so very much. He taught me that no matter how much you may not want to do something, if it needs to be done, you may as well just do it the best you can. My condolences to his family and I am forever grateful that he took time to help me through the most difficult time in my life. We kept in touch by mail occasionally and I always smiled to receive his letter with pictures enclosed. I will miss him and hope that I have carried on his legacy of helping others in need. Goodbye, my friend."

  • "To all the family of George Bargmann, I offer my heartfelt condolences and prayers. I knew George from the Congressional Skating Rink days and I remember him as energetic and always smiling. I have very fond memories of George, I simply remember him a very nice guy. George would always help if anyone asked of him, a genuine good person. I also had the pleasure of knowing the rest of his family from those days, the "good old days". Godspeed, George and may the Lord receive you into His Kingdom and care. We will see you again when it is our time to be called home. Paul Horning"
