"Dear Alesia & Rhea,
So very sorry to hear about Comanch's death. I'm certain that he and my Dad, "Smitty", are joined together in Heaven and are so free of pain and happy but it certainly leaves a huge void here on Earth.
My heart reaches out to you both and will keep you in my prayers.
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss my Dad.
I'm so glad that I got to know Comanch even though it's been a while since I last saw him. But he was such a likeable person!
We are wintering in Key West so I won't be at the service but know that I'm there in thought!
Love to you both,
Kathy Smith Donzella"

The Colombos are in total shock. Our feelings for Commanch run very deep. He was by definition a true Gentleman. I always enjoyed his visits, stories about golf and of course "war stories" He was such a joy, just to be around. A kind of man we will never forget and always remember him with a smile.

"Dear Alesia and Rhea....
Many times during our travels thru this thing we call life we run across people we call friend. It is on those rare occasions that we truly find an individual that can be more than just a friend. It has been an honor and a privilege that God allowed our paths to cross and I got to call "Comanch" a friend.
You both are in my thoughts and prayers and I am truly sorry.
Love Jack"

"Alesia & Rhea,
Comanch was very special to my parents and touched their lives in a way that warmed their hearts and made their lives a little better. I have fond memories of Comanch from my childhood and though I haven't seen him in years, I can still recall his warm smile and genuine kindness. I'm glad to have known him.

"Dearest Alesia,
Gerry and I extend our deepest sympathies for you and Rhea's loss.
We will cherish our memories of our good times together. I was so fond of Comanche and thought of him as a brother. I'll miss teasing him of sending a golf ball into our yard from the Piney Apple golf course. We choked up at the photo that Sally sent out of us together at the Class reunion. Love and warming thoughts come your way from us.
Vita notified me while up in Alberta. I came back and picked Gerry up at son Jeffery in SD, where we had been visiting our latest grandbaby.
We hope to see you at the memorial service. The memories we will have forever!"
- Vertis Bream Aspers, PA

"Hello Lisa,
I know it has been many years since you have heard my name and more since you saw my face, but I want to let you know that you and your family have been in my thoughts so many, many times over those years.
A lot has happened since I last saw you & Commanch, I opened a business in Perry County, PA until 95, moved to Florida until '06, then moved to Oklahoma to spend the last of my years.
How often I wanted to contact you two and reminisce the enjoyable memories I have of our short encounters.
I always thought Commance was one of the finest individuals I had ever met and continue to have the highest reguards and memories of him.
I woke this morning after a very vived dream of he & I working on that carpet shampooer of his as he drank down a beer & constantly amused me with his fantastic stories of his past experiences. I often wondered where he was raised in this state, now I see it was in one of my favorite places to visit,Lawton.
No, I don't go there to see the army barracks, but the state park where buffalo & longhorn & elk roam free as they should.
I have a son now, he is 7 and as big a blessing as I could have ever wanted in life. We go there and spend days taking in the sites, sounds, smells & experiences. I enjoy it so immensely that I have told my family when it is my turn to pass that I want cremated and scattered from the large mountaintop there.
I hope you and Rhea have adjusted well from the loss, I know life will never be nearly as fulfilling as he must has made it for you as well as anyone he touched in his journey thru here.
I truely regret not being able to spend time with him and you when it was possible. You made such an impression on me, your true kindness and outlook on like, was a goal to me.
I see I have rambled on here at a place where a brief message was inteneded to ease sufferring, but I could not say what was in my heart in such a message. I only hope Commanch had little or no suffering and the transition you are making is as gentle as possible. I apologise for neglecting our past friendship for so very, very long.
Take care and enjoy life, he would have wanted it that way.
Love for you in my heart, Gary"
