"I thank the Lord for the oportunity in life to have known Clyde. He was a true example of what it means to be a Christian. My memories of him will be of a man who loved to talk about the Bible and its main personality, Jesus Christ. He was a man who loved his family and cared deeply for his life's companion, Olive. He was always a true friend and I will look forward to reuniting with him in the resurrection."

"Dear Pap,
I will always remember and treasure all the times I spent with you and Grandma.
Long drives in the country, winding slowly up those mountain roads. Getting horribly car sick rolling and bouncing around in the back seat of your big car.
Long walks in the woods hunting mushrooms to no avail, while you carried out gallon bags full every time.
Trips to local orchards for quarts of black cherries, and being allowed to eat as many as I wanted.
I will always hear your words as you told me I was your favorite granddaughter, your only granddaughter truthfully, and how much you loved me.
I was blessed to have you in my life. And I will miss you for the rest of it. Rest in peace Pap. I love you."
